Quest - Angkor Wat[]

1.Help Sachen[]

The great monk, Sachen, is in tremendous pain keeping the boundary line set around Angkor Wat. If he keeps this up, I fear for his health. You need to listen to his advice and find some way to restore peace so that he may rest. ~ Please go and help him as much as you can. By the way, you need to meet the Boy Monk first, because the great monk may not be able to give you his attention while focusing on the boundary. He should be near Angkor Wat.

Mission: Enhancing the Force Field 1 from Boy Monk

~

He asked you to collect relics from the Fallen Monks? Well, based on the way they're acting... There's no way to collect the relics without killing them. I am so sorry that you have to do this. Hm, it really surprises me that the Boy Monk spoke to you that fluently. When I met him a while ago, I thought he was a mute, as he said nothing and just stared at me.

Reward:

  • Experience: 4,500
  • Gold: 20,000
  • Item: Life Potion[II] x3

2.Collecting Relics[]

All the monks in Angkor Wat 1F have gone insane. Through their insanity, they have obtained unusual powers. The Boy Monk says that they are all fallen, but I don't think so. It is really hard to believe that those monks, who were so highly inspired by the mercy of Buddha, could suddenly become evil just like that. ~ Collect 50 Cloudy Relics from Angkor Wat 1F. You can collect the relics from Fallen MonksEvil Monks and Devil Monks. I don't like calling them by these ominous names, but that is what they have become.

Mission: Cloudy Relic x50

~

Good job!  Even though the relics have become somewhat discolored, it seems that there is still purity deep inside. I am relieved. I thought that they have grown too dangerous, but if they still have some purity inside, then they are not beyond salvation. I wanted to collect as many relics as possible, but I suppose we can't expect to have them all already... From my perspective, there is something far more dangerous deep inside of Angkor Wat. Although we found the source, the monks have already become evil... If the great monk, Sachen, purifies them and attains Buddhahood, they can be devoted to Buddhism with a pure mind in their next life.

Reward:

  • Experience: 4,500
  • Gold: 30,000
  • ItemLife Potion[II] x5

3.Purifying the Relic Box[]

While you were preparing yourself, I finished making the Relic Box! These relics have driven many of the monks into evil so far, but I think you should be safe from their effects. After all, you've been fine so far. ~ Even though evil energy flows out from them, you don't need to worry about it as long as your mind is solid. Go and see the Boy Monk again with this Relic Box. Ask him what you need to do next.

Mission: Ogre Scales from Boy Monk

~

You're back sooner than I expected. Tell me about the relics. Were they purified successfully? By the way, there is some unexpected news about... What's wrong with you? What happened? Wh-what?! They can't be purified, because I contaminated them? What are you talking about? I contaminated the relics? Is that what the Boy Monk said?!

Reward:

  • Experience: 7,500
  • Gold: 30,000
  • Item: Angkor Wat Equipment Box x5

4.Ultimate Abilities[]

I've been thinking... It's a serious problem that a person so close to the great monk could be hurt like that. We're in danger, too. I've been standing here, just outside of Angkor Wat, for a while, and you've been running in and out on errands. You may need to strengthen yourself to ensure you don't fall to the same evil energy. ~ There are Rings that increase your strength. They are not commonly used, and are expensive, but if you plan to travel the world, you might find them necessary. Why don't you make 1 Ring of Vitality? It is the lowest level of ring that will strengthen your vitality. You can check all the necessary materials in Item Info. You can also buy some of them at the Market. Things there are not cheap, though.

Mission: Craft Ring of Vitality x1

~

Good work! Try to make other rings when you gather enough materials.

Reward:

  • Experience: 9,000
  • Gold: 30,000
  • Item: Scroll of Reinforcements [II] x5

5.Preparation Is Underway[]

I wonder if the area surrounding Sachen is safe now. We need to listen to the great monk's wisdom if we are to achieve peace at Angkor Wat. Although an evil spirit had possessed the Boy Monk for a moment and created some bad blood between us, what we've done so far has improved the situation. ~ However, we haven't really taken care of the real problem. I feel bad to ask this of you again, but you must go and see Sachen one more time to ask for his help. We have no time to waste. The evil spirit responsible for all of this must be defeated as soon as possible.

Mission: Pour Apprentice from Sachen

~

Oh, you're back just in time. I found out what we need to do in Angkor Wat 3F.

Reward:

  • Experience: 9,000
  • Gold: 35,000
  • Item: Life Potion[II] x3

6.Naga Queen's Plot[]

Here is your task. When you go to Angkor Wat 3F, you will see a lot of Nagas, creatures with the upper half of a human and the lower half of a snake. They are controlled by the Naga Queen. I am sure that the Naga Queen is under the Oriharukon Energy influence. While they are wild and violent, Nagas are organized and work well together. Even though she's gone insane, I guess the Naga Queen is a good leader. I have no idea what the Naga Queen is thinking now. If she plans to invade the world beyond her domain... it could be bad. ~ Go in and intercept the Queen's Orders from Naga Warriors and Naga Sorceresses. They won't be easy to find. You must be thorough in your search.

MissionQueen's Orders x1

~

Wow, this is really unexpected! You did a great job! Nagas were originally Holy Dragons, but they followed a different queen at that time. Their talent with magic is so great that they have been worshipped as gods in the past. I can't emphasize enough how dangerous they are. It is said that the Naga society was shattered when they were attacked by Atlantis and became slaves. That is why they keep the records of Cyrus even though Atlantis is gone. And now, it seems that the dangerous Oriharukon Sensors are functioning again... What a coincidence!

Reward:

  • Experience: 12,000
  • Gold: 30,000

7.Disposal of the Naga Queen[]

It's best not to dwell on what we must do. I guess Sachen might say something like this: To take another's life is to know true grief. Sometimes, however, a life must be taken for balance to be restored. I agree with him. The only way to save the Naga Queen now is by giving her death. ~ Steel yourself. Then, go to the Naga Queen's Palace. You need to kill the Naga Queen and bring me her Necklace. If there are any Oriharukon Sensors, you should dispose of them as well. However, I don't expect too many. It would be bad if you were also affected by the Oriharukon Energy.

Mission: Naga Queen's Necklace x1

~

You made it back! I was worried about you. Sachen told me that the Oriharukon Energy was too strong in Angkor Wat. I was worried it might turn you evil, too. You don't look too good. I see he wasn't exaggerating the strength of that evil energy. Good thing you didn't spend too much time there. Since you're an experienced adventurer, you'll recover quickly. It is fortunate that the sensors disappeared when the Naga Queen died. Angkor Wat will return to normal little by little... Where will you go now?

Reward:

  • Experience: 22,500
  • Gold: 90,000
  • Item: Insect Equipment Box x2

8.A Farewell[]

Ah, I have some bad news. There is a friend of mine, Prithvi Narayan, in distant Kathmandu. He is known simply as Narayan. According to him, a strange Nest of Insects recently showed up and the city was seriously damaged by the creatures that poured forth. I lost track of Li Kui, an old warrior and friend of mine, who was there. ~ Go and see Narayan near Kathmandu. Who knows? There might be an Oriharukon Sensor there, too. If you want to follow the records of Atlantis, it will do you no harm to visit there. Well, thank you for everything. Take good care of yourself!

Mission: Talk to Narayan

~

...

Reward:

  • Experience: 12,000
  • Gold: 10,000
